Upper Sixth mentors welcome primary school children to special Mass

Upper Sixth mentors from St George's College welcomed 300 primary school children from St George’s Junior School, Holy Family, St Charles Borromeo and St Anne’s School for a very special Mass in the College Chapel on Thursday 28 March.

For the past two terms, Upper Sixth students from St George's College have been helping to teach primary school pupils in the local community. They have offered support and guidance to the children and also helped them prepare artwork and drawings which were on display in the Chapel.

The Mass affirmed the relationships that had been formed and provided an opportunity for the children to enjoy one last celebration with their Upper Sixth mentors. Every school contributed something unique to the Mass and everyone enjoyed a rousing rendition of ‘Rise and Shine’ at the end lead by St George's Junior School, all of the children sang beautifully.

Once Mass was celebrated, all of the school children went to the Orchard Hall with their Sixth Form mentors where they were treated to some Easter treats.
