Over 50 stimulating clubs and extracurricular activities at St George’s College

Extracurricular activities at St George’s College, Weybridge are one of the most pivotal parts of student life. With a varied range of over 50 sports and other clubs and societies throughout, St George's ensures that it has a place for everyone in extracurricular College life.

Students are encouraged to join and participate in such activities, and inevitably this produces a healthy air of inclusion, helping students to socialise and meet other people who they might not usually meet in day to day College life.

Students at St George’s College have the opportunity to take part in diverse activities such as music ensembles, clay modelling, drama workshops, outdoor pursuits, archery, movie making and many more. The Debating Society, among others, offers an excellent means to develop public confidence with opportunities to meet and question a wide range of visiting speakers. We also have an enviable reputation for achievement within the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme at both Bronze and Gold Award.

Students in the Sixth Form can take advantage of further opportunities to develop themselves in the extracurricular environment. Young Enterprise is a business skills scheme for Sixth Formers, while the Kennedy Club offers Sixth Form students the opportunity to host and entertain adult guests with a disability from around the local area. The Sixth Form also have opportunities to take the trip of a life time with annual pilgrimages to Lourdes and World Challenge expeditions to far flung destinations around the world on alternate years.

In total, St George’s College provides a wide range of more than 50 stimulating clubs and activities which complement the academic curriculum. These activities take place during and after the school day and students are encouraged to participate in those clubs and activities that suit them best.
