Junior School celebrates Founder's Day by remembering Canon Constant William Van Crombrugghe
On Friday 30 November, St George's Junior School celebrated Founder's Day and remembered the work and teachings of Canon Constant William Van Crombrugghe.
During Mass, College Chaplain Father Martin reminded the children about the three main things our Founder wanted them to be: good, honest and happy.
As part of the tradition, Maddie and Noah from Year 6 requested a ‘no homework’ day on behalf of the Upper Years.
In the afternoon four children from Year 2 talked about our Founder during their Service and spoke about what they had learnt about him.
The Lower Years Choir sang their hearts out to two lovely songs: ‘Get back up again’ and ‘I see the light’ directed by Mrs Ault and Ms Marns.
Amelie and Barney also requested ‘no homework’ on behalf of the Lower Years. A popular theme this year.
