German delegates enjoy intensive A Level study day

On Thursday 24 January, St George's College welcomed 115 guests from 14 schools in the local area, for an intensive German A Level study day.

Students and staff were provided with lecture and seminar notes for the day, which they perused over morning refreshments. A team of lecturers from King's College London delivered truly engaging lectures on key syllabus topics including 'The German Democratic Republic', 'Immigration & Integration' as well as 'German Traditions and Festivals'.

Throughout the day, there were also break-out sessions to discuss key themes and issues from the set films and works of literature, with students working collaboratively to deepen their understanding of the A Level course. Throughout the day, there was a real buzz and it was a truly fascinating venture.
