End of term service celebrated...with a twist

Students and staff gathered at St George's College today (18 Dec) for there end of term services, each one with a very special liturgy delivered by the staff.

The key theme at the services was to remember the true meaning of Christmas, and so, with that in mind, the staff put on a small and impromptu performance of the Nativity story, with Headmistress, Rachel Owens bravely taking on the role of Mary.

Although the performance produced a lot of laughs and happy moments, the students were also reminded of the 'real' Nativity story, what Mary and Joseph went through and why they did it. The students were encouraged to remember this over the festive period before they received a special blessing from College Chaplain Fr Martin.
