College Prize Giving 2018

St George’s College, Weybridge held its annual Prize Giving ceremony on Friday 14 September to a packed out Chapel, full of family and friends supporting the students' many successes.

The event celebrates the academic, sporting, artistic and pastoral achievements of the College’s students from the Fourth Year to the Upper Sixth Form leavers in front of a congregation of past and present students, parents, Governors, Josephite clergy and staff.

The prize giving was led by Michael Davie, Chairman of the Governing Body, Rachel Owens, Headmistress of St George’s College, and the Guest of Honour was Walking with the Wounded Co-Founder and CEO, Mr Ed Parker.

Mr Parker awarded the students their well deserved prizes, before inspiring the audience with his experiences about working with wounded soldiers, he spoke about pushing yourself to be the best version of yourself and never wasting a day, he told the students to take full advantage of life and to embrace it in every way that they can.
