Meet the Team
Caroline Long - Director of Development
Caroline joined St George’s in November 1998, originally as Marketing & Development Manager before setting up the Development Office in 2003 as Director of Development. She has also had responsibility for Marketing & Admissions and was Deputy Bursar and Acting Bursar. Caroline is herself and Old Georgian having left St George’s Sixth Form in 1989. As well as overseeing the work of the Development Team, Caroline focuses on major donors and Development Strategy and delivery. She sits on the Development Committee, Business Management Team attends College SLT and is on the OGA Committee.
Janice Rodrigues-Mendes – Development Manager
Janice joined the team in August 2016 as the new Development Manager and has brought with her a sound knowledge of both the Junior School and College and its ethos as a parent for twelve years. Janice’s experience and qualifications in Brands, Relationship Marketing and Procurement whilst part of the management team at British Airways will complement this role. Her fundraising experience as a volunteer for many years whilst on the Parents' Association will enhance the campaigns that the department has planned for the future as part of Grow, as well as with Capital Appeals (building & facilities) including the forthcoming Activity Centre. Janice also manages the day to day work of the team to ensure all deadlines are reached and sits on the St George's Weybridge Strategic Plan Consultation Committee.
Melanie Gordon-Hughes – Alumni Relations Officer
Melanie joined the College in 2010 working in the Tennis Centre an then as an Administration Assistant. Melanie is responsible for the ‘Reunite’ programme and all the communications involved in engaging with the Georgian Family. This includes reunion events, the careers programme, the RU magazine, website and social media. Melanie is on maternity leave until 2017 – Patrick Kenney is covering her role
Oliver Robinson – Development Officer
Oliver started in the team in April 2016. Oliver works mainly on fundraising activities, including events, marketing and in particular managing the database of 12,000 contacts. Oliver is also responsible for administering donations and looking after the stewardship programme as well as office administration. He is also responsible for the fundraising website and updating digital communication streams.
