Junior School shows Georgian spirit with Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Appeal

St George's Junior School has been filled with Christmas shoeboxes over the past few weeks, as children and their families have been packing the boxes full of different gifts for underprivileged children overseas.

The Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Appeal takes place every year, with thousands of schools, churches and other organisations donating special gifts to those less fortunate children for Christmas.

Thanks to the children at the Junior School, on Monday 13 November, 230 boxes were collected, ready to be shipped off to different countries around the world.

Chaplain at the Junior School, Mrs Rolon, spoke about the purpose of the boxes, saying; "The aim of these boxes is to show God’s love in a tangible way to underprivileged children around the world."
