Junior School pupils enjoy 'Maths Masterclass' at the College

Year 5 pupils from St George's Junior School were lucky enough to attend a very special 'Maths Masterclass' at the College on Thursday 29 June.

The Junior School children travelled up to the College to get involved with 'mathematical mastery' and receive an introduction to algebraic expressions. The girls and boys were set a number of tasks during the afternoon, which included creating expressions using real life information, followed by undertaking an independent numerical investigation applying the algebraic concepts they had learnt during the afternoon.

The keen mathematicians thoroughly enjoyed studying higher level Mathematics and took great satisfaction in making generalisations from the investigation.
