Hundreds of food tins collected for Salvation Army’s ‘Tin-A-Week’ campaign

Once again and for the third year in a row, St George’s College is supporting the Salvation Army’s ‘Tin-A-Week’ campaign.

With over 350 items coming in each week, these donations are making a substantial contribution to the Foodbank run by the Addlestone Corps of the Salvation Army.

Although the emphasis has been on meat and fish, nappies have also been very gratefully received by Major Loxley from the Salvation Army.

It is hoped that during the last two weeks of the campaign 1,000+ items will be donated so that last year’s total will be surpassed.

Thank you to all students, staff and Georgian Family members who has contributed so far.
