First Years named Georgians of the week with their stunning model castles

This week's (17 November) Georgians of the week are Tutor Group 1LEG, after showing zeal in their history homework and creating some stunning model castles.

The students were tasked with creating model castles for their History homework. They could use any material to create their masterpieces, including cake, and the students did not disappoint. History Teacher at St George's College, Mrs Grant, was so impressed with the students' work, not only with their effort on presentation, but also the demonstration of their history knowledge - it wasn't just an excuse for cake!

Much to their delight, the students were then treated to a real piece of cake and a hot chocolate in the Orchard Hall with Mrs Grant.

Some of the students were also helping to raise awareness for Anti-Bullying Week by wearing a hint of blue and donating money to charity.

There was also a chance for our exceptional trumpeter from last week's Remembrance Service to come and celebrate his triumphant performance of 'The Last Post'.
