30 years of service for St George's stalwart

On Monday 19 June, St George’s College celebrated 30 years service of one of its much loved staff members.

Diane Couzens, Lab Technician, first started back at the College in May 1987. Diane has seen some major changes over the years at St George’s, she has seen different generations of students developing and learning, she’s seen key staff arrive and depart, and buildings have changed drastically or been removed all together, with new ones appearing in their place.

One constant of the last 30 years though has been Diane, a hardworking and hugely valued member of the Georgian Family. The Headmistress, Bursar and other members of the teaching faculty gathered to celebrate this momentous occasion and present Diane with some flowers and gifts and hear all about her time at St George’s over the last 30 years. As well as this, Diane was both extremely touched and a little embarrassed to discover that her prep room in the Science block is being named after her.

St George’s would just like to thank Diane once again for her wonderful years of service and we look forward to working with Diane for many years to come as she shows no signs of stopping work anytime soon.
