College teaching staff
Due to an expansion of the staff body, following an increase in non-contact time for existing teachers, we are seeking the following appointments for September 2017:
Deputy Head Staff
Due to the present incumbent’s move to a Headship at The London Oratory, we are seeking the appointment of a Deputy Head Staff from January 2018. The post will be attractive to someone seeking a senior leadership post, who is likely to wish to go on to Headship after a period of service at St George’s.
We will consider 3 routes by which appointments for the following posts (Teacher of Computing and Teacher of Mathematics) can be made into this department:
- Applications from experienced teachers.
- Applications from newly-qualified teachers. We would expect such staff to obtain their qualified teacher status with us and we will support this.
- Applications from well-qualified graduates whom we would expect to apply for a PGCE course whilst employed with us. This is usually through the University of Buckingham and the course is followed whilst being a member of staff. The course supplies the appropriate mentoring required and makes a financial contribution to the costs of the course.
- Significant welcome contribution will be awarded upon appointment.
Teacher of Computing
We are looking to appoint someone who is enthusiastic about Computing and enjoys the subject to all levels and abilities. Applications are invited from well-qualified, enthusiastic graduates. Successful applicants may be interviewed as and when applications are received.
Teacher of Mathematics
Our Mathematics team is a very strong department with a mixture of twelve committed teachers of varied backgrounds and experiences. The person appointed will be enthusiastic about Mathematics and enjoy teaching the subject to all levels and abilities. Successful applicants may be interviewed as and when applications are received.
For further information about these vacancies, please contact the Headmistress’s P.A. Phyllida Bell.
