Disabled access

St George’s Junior School and St George’s College welcome disabled visitors for events that are open to the public.

Every effort is made to offer disabled visitors access to all of our buildings, however some of our facilities are old and full access to them is not always available. If you are planning a visit to us, please contact us 48 hours or more in advance and we will do everything we can to help.

When visiting St George’s Weybridge, the following disabled access and facilities are available:

St George’s College

1) Disabled parking close to the College’s main reception

2) Kerb free access to the main reception/Student Services/Kean Block ground floor and Chapel entrances. Access to the Orchard Hall and Amanda Smith Theatre is via the playground.

3) Automatic entry/exit doors to the Chapel, Student Services, Kean Block ground floor classrooms, ground floor disabled toilet and shower, lift to first and second floors of the Red House

4) Disabled toilets with RADAR key and shower (with emergency call button) in Red House corridor (ground floor). Also a disabled toilet with RADAR key in the Playground/Crush Hall rear entrance to the Red House.

5) For hearing impaired visitors, induction loop systems for hearing aid users are installed in the following locations: White House main reception and the Chapel

6) For visually impaired visitors, assistance dogs/guide dogs are welcome on site. We are also very happy to provide large print versions of event and School information. Please contact us.

7) Emergency exit/evacuation of disabled visitors: the School’s usual evacuation procedure applies.

St George’s Junior School

1) Parking is available close to the Junior School’s main reception

2 ) Kerb free access to the main reception to the ground floor of the main School building, including the Mulberry Hall dining area.

3 ) A disabled toilet is available in the ground floor foyer to the drama hall

4) Step free access, which is suitable for wheelchair or mobility scooter users, is available in the main reception to the ground floor of the main school building, including the Mulberry Hall dining area.

5) A lift is located at the end of the main building ground floor corridor and goes up to the first and second floors. A member of reception staff has a key to operate it.

6) For visually impaired visitors, assistance dogs/guide dogs are welcome on site. We are also very happy to provide large print versions of event and School information. Please contact us.
